Today a-ha play in Argentina. This is the start of their Farewell tour with many concerts around the world to end their career as a-ha at the end of 2010.

Alternative date possible
After the devastating earthquake in Chile last month, a-ha cancelld their upcoming concert in Santiago on March 6th. The Chilean government, it was said in press reports from Chile yesterday, want to suspend all performances within the next few days. The managment working on an alternative date at the end of the South America tour. More information will follow in due course.

More aid for the youth of East Timor
Since the 90s, Morten do a great deal for East Timor in the media and politics. The island, which is sovereign since 2002, have experienced human rights violations and unrest. This year, the Norwegian “Speider“ (engl.: scout) are committed to educational equity. Morten told in a short campaign movie about East Timor and why it's so important to stick up for that country (watch the video
). In the latest issue of “Speiderer“ (engl.: The scout), which can be downloaded free of charge from Speiding.no, is a short interview with Morten and informations about the project.

a-ha will give a concert at the Massey Hall in Toronto (Canada) on May 10 and at The Riviera in Chicago (USA) on May 13.
The presale tickets are limited and the sale starts tomorrow, May 02nd, at a-ha.com. The tickets for Toronto are available from 10 am EST and for Chicago from 10 am CST.

Morten, Magne and Paul would like to support artists
a-ha said at the press conference today, that they will provide a stipend of NOK 4 million ($670.000) for four previously unknown artists from Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Kristiansand. The winners will be determind at aha2010.no and support a-ha at their stadium-tour in Norway.
“We are privileged and hope that we could contribute something. Without a support-system, an adequate support and the financial investments of people who believed in us, our adventuere would have been a different,“ Magne said to the press.
