More information will follow tomorrow

More information about a-ha's scholarship (a-ha-net reported) will be announced tomorrow, April 14th. The four winning bands will receive 4 million NOK (~ $ 700.000) and will support a-ha on their stadium tour through Norway this autumn. This Morten and Magne announced at a press conference on March 1st.

Another festival in the summer

a-ha expanding their large farewell tour through Europe. On July 16th, they will play a concert at the Clam Festival in Austria and also Simple Minds will stay on the stage on this day. The pre sale starts today on www.clam.at/concerts.html.

First concert in Germany is sold out

a-ha have just finished their South America Tour as we got the message that the concert at the Stadthalle Rostock is sold out. For the other 16 concerts there are still a few tickets available (see left under “upcoming events“).

Fans support the ailing singer during the concert

Morten, who has sore throat since a few days, thanked the fans in the Norwegian Press.

“It was a strange experience to stand on stage withouth my singing voice. But it was totally fascinating to encounter on such an overwhelming support from the audiance both in Brasilia and Recife. a-ha are definitely more than me and the Band have ignite the spark in absence of my voice as all sang instead of me“, he said to VG Nett.

In Recife, where he went to the hospital in the afternoon, he apologized for his bad voice in the evening and asked the audience to support him. Today, a-ha give a concert in Fortaleza.

Sore throat tormet the singer on the South America Tour

Morten make a visit in a hospital in Recife yesterday afternoon. He complained of sore throat. According to the newspapers, a tonsillitis was diagnosed. But the doctors give the go-ahead for the show in the evening and Morten left the hospital late that afternoon. Due to the rush of fans and reporters, Morten was examined in an office of the hospital.

The staff described Morten, who took the time to pose for photos with them as very nice and friendly.

a-ha at a festival in Japan this summer

a-ha will perform at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan. It takes place on August 07. - 08. at two locations, Tokyo and Osaka. There are no information about which day or location Morten, Magne and Paul are playing yet.
