Yesterday's open-air concert at the Hockeypark in Mönchengladbach was a big success and a successful start for a-ha's European tour. More than 8.000 fans celebrated a-ha for the last time in the metropolis of Rhineland-Palatinate (see photo) and could enjoy the biggest hits, even if the set list offered no surprises. But Magne could score with his Rhenish. “Wat kütt, dat kütt (engl.: What comes, comes),“ what you can also say about the farewell... but until then a-ha will play sixteen concerts in Germany.

a-ha hold their first concert in Germany today (a-ha-net reported). Tomorrow, Morten, Magne and Paul play in Trier (Rhineland-Palatinate) and Paul gave an interview to RTL Radio. In addition to world records and the farewell tour he talked about the upcoming concerts and he didn't exclude that a-ha will play an unreleased song called “Butterfly“.

Ralf “Ralle“ Rudnik, who was born in Duisburg, will support a-ha at the concert in Mönchengladbach. He's better known as a member of the German band “De Höhner“, which he left in 2007. He supported musicians like “Ireen Sheer“, “Die Klostertaler“ and “Jack White“ and worked as a solo artist in recent years .
It is not yet known if other support acts will appear in Germany.
